To connect the unconnected to an accepting community, so that they can experience the grace of Christ through authentic relationships, genuine worship, and selfless service.
The early church met together in the book of Acts for a common purpose. To break bread together, to pray, for fellowship, and to learn about God. (Acts 2:42) They looked to each other's needs as they gathered in fellowship. One image that stands out from this picture of the church is that of a table. Early believers shared their worship, their needs and their meals around a table as they broke bread together.
The young adult ministry team at Chapelwood wants to create an environment where all who come can find their place around the table, and especially where they can hear about the love of Jesus, about God's grace, and about the place already prepared for them in their Father's house.
From this beautiful picture of the 1st century church in Acts comes the practices of "The Table" Worship, community, growth, and outreach.
