 -What I'm passionate about...

Language, learning, music, friendship… not necessarily in that order! My experience at the Table has definitely included all of them.

-Favorite Bible verse...

Jeremiah 29:11-13 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

-Favorite movie (s)...

Rushmore, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

-How I got connected with the Table...

My roommate had gone to the morning services at Chapelwood and found out about the Table. She decided to check it out and I tagged along... everyone was so welcoming and friendly that it was natural to keep coming back and to get involved. The real community that we have at the Table is something I had been seeking ever since I moved to Houston.

-If I had a day to do anything, I would...

Spend time with friends, or go exploring... I like to wander! It's amazing the things you can stumble upon when you are "lost."

-Summary of my life today...

I work in HR (recruiting) for ExxonMobil and live in a townhome near Chapelwood. I love spending time with my friends, and lately I've been helping plan social activities for the Table. I also try to get home to Dallas periodically to see my parents and younger brother.

-In 10 years, I see myself...

Content with the life that God has planned for me. I am by nature a planner; some might even call me a "control freak." I have been working on trusting God to lead in my life and my plans. I hope to continue to grow in my relationship with God as well as discover and get to know more about the amazing people and things He has created.

-Why I come back to the Table...
From the very beginning, the Table felt like home to me. A big part of that are the wonderful people there who have always embraced and accepted me for who I am. I feel that God led me to the Table so that I could experience true community and continue to grow in my faith.
-My philosophy of life...
Live every day! It's something so simple, and yet so easy to forget. Even when I'm going through difficult times, I try to remember to have gratitude for the life I've been given.
