I am passionate about people and friendships.  I love hearing other peoples' stories about where they have been, where they are, and where they want to go.

Jeremiah 29:11  "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

           

I don't really have a favorite movie.  I don't even really have a favorite type of movie.  I love action movies, comedies, and of course the happily ever afters!

I got connected with the Table through Tim.  He preached one Sunday morning about the upcoming young adult group that would be starting soon called the Table.  I e-mailed him and then he invited me to come and meet those involved in the planning.  It has been my church home ever since.

I moved from Louisiana 4 years ago.  I have been teaching for 5 years and am starting in a new school this year. I graduated with my master's in curriculum and instruction from U of H -Downtown in May and have been busy ever since working with schools and teachers preparing for the new school year.

In 10 years, I see myself involved in education in some way.  I am a teacher and love it, but know I will probably need a change.  I would like to work with curriculum or be involved in some way.  But really, who knows?  Just taking it one day at a time.  Who knows what possibilities and opportunities tomorrow may bring.

I come back to the Table because it is my church home.  It is where I have made and developed relationships with people who I call my closest friends.  These are the friends I know I can count on to be there and share on Sunday nights and any other time I may need them.  It has been a huge blessing to be a part of this community.

My philosophy of life is live and learn.  Mistakes are made but lessons are learned and life goes on.
