-What I'm passionate about... |
I feel a great deal of passion for expanding on the ways that we interpret the rational world, and finding new ways to engage in that interpretation.
|
-Favorite Bible verse... |
"What does it profit a man to gain the world, but lose his soul?" Matthew 16:26
|
Best concert I have ever attended... |
Stone Temple Pilots at Coca Cola Starplex (now called Smirnoff Amplitheatre) in Dallas, my freshman year of High School (1997)

-How I got connected with the Table... |
I had taken some time away from the church and the synagogue, and knew that I was at a point in my life where it was important to figure out and understand what I believe. Thus, I began looking for a church to study at when I got to Houston. Incidentally, whoever is in charge of the website earned their money that day. This was the only young adult ministry in town that had information on the web that didn't lead me to believe I would be obligated to drink the kool-aide if I visited sometime. wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

-If I had a day to do anything, I would... |
Allowing for the possibility that I could do ANYTHING I wanted, I would run around the world at mach 1 seeing everything I've always wanted to see, and chatting with someone on each continent. |
-Summary of my life today... |
A man standing at the edge of a splintering reality, contemplating which route is best to take.
|
Biggest step of faith I have ever taken... |
Embracing my jewish heritage in the absence of family practice for two generations.
|
-Why I come back to the Table... |
I had no reason not to. If I was serious about discerning what my faith was, I had no choice but to keep going to the place I was brought to. You can't understand what you may believe unless you engage it. |
-My philosophy of life... |
I have a degree in Philosophy, I promise you, you haven't the space. But in a few words, I would say, be not the single drop of water at the edge of the wave, be not the bubble at the back of the trough, rather, be the water in the middle of the flow, that is where life is happening. |
